I like to think of WAGS Redefined as the result of courageous conviction to tell my story and more importantly, the stories of others.
I’m a small town Indiana girl who has always had big city aspirations. I left my hometown at the age of 17 and moved to Georgia to pursue my dreams of playing basketball. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have a half-way decent work ethic, which enabled me to play basketball at the Division I level. My years as an athlete certainly taught me leadership, discipline, perseverance, and how to dedicate the necessary hours to my passions.
After graduating from college, the real fun began and I was posed with the question, “What now?”. Naturally, I enrolled in grad school. A few years trying out different jobs and businesses, and a couple degrees later, I found myself asking more important questions like, “What is my purpose?” I prayed, talked to God, and read Scripture to find my answers. This online community is a part of my answer.
I am a happy newlywed, fortunate enough to do life with a selfless man who keeps me laughing. We recently welcomed our son Jayce into the world and are the parents of two furbabies (lovable English bulldogs) as well. I am a sweet tooth and yet ironically, a fitness advocate. In my free time, I enjoy working out with my husband, reading books, listening to podcasts, writing, traveling, playing sports, and spending time with our pups. I am a die hard football fan of whichever team my husband is playing for.
