Top 5 Must Have Baby Items for New Moms

I wanted to make a little list of the five biggest products or services that I have absolutely loved using for my babies! Granted, some were used with the first, some with the second, and some with both.  If I had to do it all over again, these are the 5 things I would make sure that I had!

1. Maxi Cosi Mico Max 30 Car Seat ($199.99)

Okay, so when I first found out I was having a girl, I wanted to find the most girly products out there. With that being said,  I came across the Maxi Cosi brand.  Not only do they have quite a few color choices, which can also be customizable, they have amazing safety features.  The material is truly comfortable and it includes side impact protection and an anti-rebound bar.  This particular car seat is made for infants 4-30 lbs and up to 32".

2. Baby Jogger City Mini Stroller ($199.99)

With added inserts, it can be customizable to fit just about any car seat, including the Maxi Cosi.  I love this model because it's not very heavy, the material is easy to clean, and it can lean all the way back for a sleeping baby.  My all time favorite feature of this product is that I can easily fold it with one hand and put it in the trunk while simultaneously holding my baby.

3. HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper ($249.99)

This bassinet is AMAZING! You can easily adjust the height to level with your bed and safely Co-Sleep.  It also makes those night time feedings easier because your child is literally within arm's reach.  There is a night time light, music buttons, and a vibration button that seems to soothe most babies. It lasts for the first 5 months, or until your baby starts rolling over or pushing up.

4. Moby Wrap ($49.95)

This wrap is my favorite! There is a slight learning curve for putting it on and perfecting the different holds but it is a lifesaver! The newborn hold keeps your baby swaddled, almost as if he or she was still in your belly.  For my terrible sleeper of a now toddler,  it helped me tremendously during the first six months.  It lasts from the time your child is 8 to 30 lbs for tons of babywearing fun!

5. Sound Sleeper App ($3.99)

Most parents are aware of the terrifying moments after you finally get your child to sleep and attempt to sneak away, only to make every noise possible.  This app has saved my life and sanity many times.  I simply turn the sound on as I am putting them to bed, which also helps make them tired.  Once they're asleep, the repetitive noise helps drown out the sound of me watching tv and opening my wine bottle after a long day:) Completely joking, however, it would definitely work.
